“There is a secret psychology to money. Most people don’t know about it. That’s why most people never become financially successful. A lack of money is not the problem; it is merely a symptom of what’s going on inside you.” – T. Harv Eker, Multimillionaire
This is a difficult subject for many and a very important one to discuss. The flow of money in your life is truly a symptom of everything else in your life as well as your beliefs (most of them are subconscious and not really yours). I found this knowledge to be very overwhelming. So when I’m struggling financially, is it because I’m struggling personally and because I have beliefs about money that are holding me back? Yes, it is.
If I am honest with myself, I can see the connection here. Since leaving my job, my life has been full of transition and trying to figure out who I really am and exactly what I want to do. I’ve needed to purge a lot to be able to move forward. Relationships have changed, my schedule has changed, my life in general looks very different from how it looked a year and a half ago and I don’t feel like I’m the same person I was then. I’ve had to learn some big lessons and make some hard choices and the good news is it’s all been worth it. As I embrace more of who I am and what makes me happy, the money follows.
I have also done a lot of work around money beliefs. You might be surprised about what you believe about money. Most of our beliefs are acquired from 0-5 years old. They aren’t ours. They come from everyone around us. We are just a sponge absorbing it all. Did you grow up hearing things like “money doesn’t grow on trees“ or “we can’t afford that”? How did the money flow for your parents? Do you see similarities in how it flows in your life now? Identifying and releasing old limiting beliefs will also help the flow of money in your life. If you would like to take a look at your own beliefs and aren’t sure where to start, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for a partial list and directions to test. You might be surprised at what you find out.
We do need to remember that it takes time to catch up to where we are currently at. So don’t despair if the money isn’t flowing the way you’d like. Continue to do your work, embrace all of who you are and be willing to share it with others. Get your life in order. The money will follow!
I share all of this with you to provide some background for what I’m about to say.
Value yourself. Charge a fair price for your services, your time and the training you have received. If you are in the healing arts profession, chances are you give more than enough. It’s time to give to yourself. If you don’t, you won’t be able to give to others for long.
It is true…the Universe wants you to be prosperous!
